Pet Passport Germany

If you are entering Germany from a Rabies Free Country or Third Country, you will need to have your pet micro chipped and vaccinated at least 30 days prior to travel.

A licensed veterinarian must complete the official EU Annex II veterinary certificate. If you are traveling from the United States or Canada, the certificate must be sent to the USDA or CFIA for endorsement. If you are entering Germany from a different country, the instructions will advise you of the proper procedure.

If you are entering Germany from a Country with a High Incidence of Rabies, quarantine can be avoided by having a Blood Titer Test done after vaccination and 3 months prior to travel. You will need to select the option above for additional forms and instructions.

Your Germany pet passport is verified at the time of order.

If you have more than one pet traveling to Germany, additional forms can be self printed from the Email Attachment option. If ordering additional forms for Germany with First Class Mail Delivery Option, forms will receive a 30% discount.

Enforcement may not be consistent in every country or on every airline and having proper documentation will better insure that no problems will arise during your travels.

Minimally Useful - But Out of Date Information

First of all, this kit is kind of a waste of money as all this information and forms are available online. However, for convenience, this could be worthwhile -- if it was accurate/up-to-date. According to the USDA, the APHIS Form 7001 is only required by countries who don't provide their own form. Germany has the EU Form 998, so a APHIS Form 7001 is not needed according to the USDA.

Kudos to the reviewer for catching the error regarding the USDA Forms. We will correct the webpages that state that the 7001 form is listed on that is not necessary for the particular country.

The EU form is included with this package as well as all other EU countries. The 7001 form was for a period used by vets alongside the EU998 form but has since become superfluous for EU nations and other countries that have created their own entry forms.

In response to the information being available elsewhere. It is. However, it's a question of the validity of the information that is provided. The amount paid for the forms is not necessarily for the paperwork itself but for the time and effort that is required to make sure that you will have all the accurate instructions and forms necessary to enter a foreign land. We also provide phone and email support for any questions or concerns that a customer or vet may have.
