Panama requires that your pet be vaccinated for rabies at least 30 days prior to travel. Your veterinarian must then complete the proper veterinary certificate in duplicate and attach the APHIS Form 7001. You must then have it endorsed by the State USDA or CFIA Office depending whether you are originating from the United States or Canada. If you are traveling from a different country, the instructions will advise you of the proper procedure. The next step is certification by the Panamian Embassy. You can arrange for house quarantine by filing an application at least two weeks prior to travel.
