Jet Airways Pet Policy
Jet Airways offers accompanied checked baggage or air cargo services to rabbits and household birds on domestic flights within India. Starting in June of 2018, Jet Airways will also offer service to cats and dogs. Your pet must be accompanied by a certificate of good health and birds and rabbits must have a letter from the State Forest or Wildlife department stating that the species of bird or rabbit is not endangered and is allowed to be carried on a domestic flight.
Your pet must be transported in an approved cargo crate as accompanied checked baggage or air cargo. Jet Airways does not allow pets to travel in the cabin of the aircraft unless they are medically certified service animal assisting a disabled passenger.
Your veterinarian will be certifying that your pet is healthy enough to travel and is free of diseases communicable to humans.

**During periods of very cold weather, an acclimation certificate may also be required for pets traveling in cargo. On most airlines, pets are not accepted for transport in the cargo section of the airline when the ground temperature is below 45 degrees Fahrenheit (7 degrees Celsius) at any location on the itinerary unless the pet has a veterinarian's statement of low temperature acclimation (Acclimation Certificate).
All instructions and Jet Airways pet policies are verified at the time of order. Requirements to fly your dog or cat with Jet Airways are included. Enforcement may not be consistent at every airport and having proper documentation will better ensure that no problems will arise during your travels.
