Calmers
Pet Calmers
Let's face it. Traveling is stressful, even for the most laid-back pets. Calming a pet whose schedule has been disrupted, who has been separated from its surroundings and perhaps even its owner can be difficult. Turning to sedation may not be the best option. Many airlines will not accept pets who have been given a tranquilizer as these drugs can affect their breathing. Shallow breathing can be dangerous, especially if your pet is flying in the cargo hold.
For anxious or hyper pets, all natural pet calmers will help take the edge off. There are no drugs involved, only all natural ingredients that cannot harm your pet such as Valerian, German Chamomile, L-Tryptophan and/or St. John’s Wort.
Pet calmers are also great for pets who fear loud noises, thunder, lightning and fireworks. Try giving the calmer to your pet prior to the event if you can. Taken according to directions, it will noticeably ease their fears. Try it at home first and see how it calms your pet.
For those pet owners whose dogs are hyper or overly timid, a pet calmer can help them relax and be better travelers. And having them relaxed can do the same for you!
