Pet Passport Switzerland
This package contains information and detailed step by step instructions on importing your dog, cat or ferret to Switzerland. If your pet is not traveling to Switzerland, then you can select the country your pet is traveling to by selecting a pet passport for another country.
Carefully following these instructions will make clearing customs easier and quicker. The instructions will also help to avoid having your pet denied entry, put into quarantine or returned to your country of origin.
Our information is constantly being updated to keep it current.
If your dog, cat or ferret is entering Switzerland from a rabies-controlled country (see below), it will need a 15 digit ISO compliant pet microchip, then a rabies vaccination (in that order) at least 21 days prior to entry. If your pet's microchip is not ISO compliant, you should carry a microchip scanner.
If your pet is entering Switzerland from any other country, it must also have a rabies blood titer test done no sooner than 30 days after vaccination and at least 90 days prior to travel. Select the option above for additional forms and instructions.
If you or your designated representative are traveling with or within 5 days of your dog, cat or ferret from a country outside of the EU, a licensed veterinarian must complete the non-commercial EU health certificate within 10 days of travel. If you or your designated representative are not traveling with or within 5 days of your pet, then the commercial EU health certificate will be required.
