This package contains information and detailed step by step instructions on importing your cat, dog or ferret to the United Kingdom. If your pet is not traveling to United Kingdom, then you can select the country your pet is traveling to by clicking here to select a pet passport for another country.
Carefully following these instructions will make clearing customs easier and quicker. The instructions will also help to avoid having your pet denied entry, put into quarantine or returned to your country of origin.
Our information is constantly being updated to keep it current.
If you are entering the United Kingdom with your dog, cat or ferret from a rabies-free country or rabies-controlled-country, you will need to have your pet microchipped with a 15 digit ISO compliant pet microchip, then vaccinated for rabies at least 21 days prior to entry*. If your pet's microchip is not ISO compliant, you should carry a microchip scanner.
If you are entering the United Kingdom from a high-rabies country, your pet must also have a rabies blood titer test done no sooner than 30 days after vaccination and at least 90 days prior to travel. Select the option above for additional forms and instructions.
If you or your designated representative are traveling with or within 5 days of your dog, cat or ferret from outside of the EU, a licensed veterinarian must complete the non-commercial EU health certificate within 10 days of travel. If you or your designated representative are not traveling with or within 5 days of your pet, then a commercial EU health certificate will be required.
Your pet will also require a tapeworm treatment administered by a licensed veterinarian between one and five days of entry unless entering England from Finland, Ireland, Malta, Norway or another country belonging to the United Kingdom.
All pets must enter the United Kingdom as air cargo according to commercial airline regulations.
*After microchip implantation, re-vaccination and waiting period has passed, your pet can re-enter the United Kingdom without a wait time as long as booster vaccinations are given on time and your pet continues to meet the other entry requirements.

My mom was able to fly my cat Bella out to London from Raleigh, NC with ease by using the resources that PetTravelStore.com offers. There were so many forms and clearances that Bella needed for authorization to travel, but PetTravelStore.com was able to provide outstanding service from cradle to grave. The employees at the outgoing airport even praised my mom for having all of her paperwork filled out with 100% accuracy, which she wouldn’t have been able to do without PetTravelStore.com. Thank you for reuniting Bella and I once again!
We were able to enjoy England with the help of your service.
We ordered the Third-Country Pet Certificate to move our dog from the US to Britain. It was a huge help in this very stressful process. If you are moving with your pet abroad, I would highly recommend ordering their certificates via Pet Travel Store. Everything went very smoothly, even though I was concerned about Carus and my 16 yo kitty, Olivia, flying, they did brilliantly. I was so happy to reunite with them at the Heathrow Animal Reception Centre.
Everything included. A bit overwhelming but doable with the package.
This is excellent info and support. The process to bring a dog to the U.K. is cumbersome and this helped streamline the process a bit. It would be better if the instructions were more succinct and took you right to the point of boarding. It was remarkable that 15 people in front of me at the USDA had errors on their forms. I had errors as well, but not any that required me to go back to my vet. So with that being said, step-by-step instructions (again, more succinctly written), of how to fill out the forms and what they mean by certain phrases and sections would help tremendously. Still worth it though!
This packet has everything we need in terms of paperwork to get our dogs into the UK. In addition, I had 2 or 3 follow-up questions. They were quick to respond and very helpful.
it had everything I needed
